Reality hits hard

I had another meeting with Jarek. He found one of the survivors back. Red got himself into some problems and is held captive by some mongrol pirates. Upon arriving at the last known site I spotted four of them and engaged them immediatly. After eliminating them I went trough the wreckage, but I couldn’t find Red.

My sensors picked up even more pirates. These lowlifes always come in packs. This time it was a gang of two. I went in to engage with everything I have. Unfortunately my weapons didn’t do much damage. I couldn’t even get their shields down. Hull integrity was down 47% in no time. I had to get out… FAST

Reality is a bitch, it really hurts to admit that the pirates are better equipped then me. After several skirmishes I decided to call it quits and jumped the hell out of there. I’ll be back though.

I’m still dedicating a lot of time to my education and I’m thinking of starting up my own mining venture within the SSX Corporation. My current skills are optimally suited to study industry related matters. I’ll be occupied with honing my Learning and Industry skills until the end of this year.

Meeting the sisters

Comments Off

I docked the station after being hailed by the sisters. Apparently a ship went missing. The Damsel had sent a distress call and for some weird reason, the sisters choose me to go and look for what’s left and try to determine what happened. I set off to Tar immediatly. Upon arriving there after just a few jumps I saw a massacre. Pieces of several large vessels were scattered around the perimiter.

With some luck I located the black box of the Damsel. It was still locked tight in it’s place. I saw no survivors, but the sisters insisted I talked with a CONCORD official and deliver the black box to him. He was just a jump away. He informed me that there had been survivors of the incident. Unfortunatly there is no such thing as a free lunch and he sent me back to the wreckage to fetch him something. I don’t really care what it is.

I don’t know why, but always when someone sends me in to fetch something, there are these bloody pirates. Lowlife people, not even podders like myself. They must be very desperate, they actually loose their life when I shoot their vessels into oblivion.

After that I docked into the nearest station. Time for some studying. I’m honing my learning skills, each day I discover something new and rediscover things known to many already. I have a lot of catching up to do in comparison with the rest of the universe. I’m adamant to do well and to catch up to their knowledge level.

The next step

After completing his education Drechlas was still undecided as to what he wanted to do. He couldn’t already pick his destiny. He heard about the Sisters of EVE looking for able podders to do some work. Drechlas decided it was best to help out where he can and then see what comes to him. As his councillors in the academy told him several times “The day you stop learning is the day you sign your death warrant.”. This fact was so baked into his being, he still felt too unprepared to face the real bad world. Plotting his courses trough hi security space make sure not to step on anyone’s toes.

After a long 14 jump travel he finally reached the Sisters of EVE and after docking he decided to get some shut eye before heading out again.

The Beginning

Born to poor merchants, young Drechlas started to show potential at a very early age. He was spotted by a teacher at the State War Academy and got accepted on a scholarship. He enjoyed his spell at the academy and got hand picked before graduation by SSX to join their ranks after finishing his education. In return SSX granted him 10 million ISK to get trough college. Money well spent.

After his initial military training he signed up for exploration training. After completing his training the SSX granted him another 19 million ISK to further hone his skills. He decided he wanted to graduate from every possible class he could take.

The final exam of the advanced military track caught him off guard and made him loose two of his ships. He did pass gloriously on his third run. After finishing up advanced military training he concluded his business degree while starting on his industry program.
